Bio: I completed the Master of Environmental Science course at the University of Southampton in 2011, and went on to earn a doctorate during which I developed novel software for calculating high resolution atmospheric pollution emissions inventories for the shipping industry. This began a career in software engineering and data science that has involved working for startup and scaleup technology companies, doing a range of research, engineering, and leadership roles. Much of my work has focussed on computational modelling, with a focus on complex systems such as cities, national infrastructure networks, agricultural systems and supply chains. Most recently, I co-founded Cirevo, a technology company focusing on delivering software projects to promote the circular economy and the regeneration of nature.
