If you are a new Business School student, you will be taking part in an Induction Challenge to be completed in small teams during Welcome (Induction/ Freshers) Week.

You’ll find out more about the challenge in your Programme Welcome Talk and your Peer Leaders or Peer Advisors will be helping you along the way!

How will the challenge work?

Find a group. You will need to get into small teams (3-6 people) for the challenge in your first week. *Postgraduate students: if you are struggling to find a group to work with, please email our Peer Advisors at SBSPGADV@soton.ac.uk and they will allocate you to a group.
Find a time. Choose a day during Welcome Week that you would like to do your Induction Challenge. (Undergraduate students: you will do a Campus Tour in your first Peer Leader session which may help when you complete the Induction Challenge). Find a time to complete the challenge before the deadline which is Monday 30th September 2024, by 12pm.
Find your animals! Follow this link to the Safari Clues form to find each animal and place around campus. You can use the My Southampton App map to help you on your search. You must locate each animal and enter it’s location into the form and complete the bonus question. Lastly, take a group photo with one of the animals and post it to your form!
How do you win? Well, there will prizes for the best 2 UG group pictures and 2 for the best PG group pictures – please note, the form must all be completed correctly too!
Announcing winners. Our Peer Advisors will announce the winners via email and the prizes will be awarded at our Coffee & Chat in B175 cafe on Wednesday 2nd October 2024 between 10am and 12pm. We hope you can join us!

*TIP: Take note of the different areas on campus that you visit. You might find some interesting spots to hang out with friends or useful university services to be aware of.
