Here you can find support to assist you on your Assessment and Feedback journey! We have resources that are made by students, for students.
The resources include support for understanding assignment briefs, preparing for an assessment, how to work through your feedback to use it as a tool for development and information of all of the Assessment and Feedback related support available to you.
The Assessment Checklist
In order to help you prepare for your assessments, our student interns have created a great assessment checklist. It will take you through step by step what you need to do, with links to other useful resources and tips that will help you along the way. This could be useful if you have the feeling of ‘not knowing where to start’ or if you are struggling to understand your assessment brief.
Try using this checklist first, if you are still struggling, remember you can always reach out to your Module Leader for extra clarification!

The Feedback Journal
Your feedback is a crucial part of your educational development. Feedback is there for you to use as a tool to improve on your next assignments. The better we understand how to use our feedback as a development tool, the more progress we can make!
Here, our student interns have created a Feedback Journal. This will allow you to track your work, what you are doing well and what you need to improve. It will also encourage you to make actions and think about what extra resources or support you may need to access to improve for next time!
Give this journal a try, if any feedback is still unclear always reach out to your module leader. If you’re not sure where to get extra support check out the bottom of this page.

Assessment and Feedback Support
Of course it’s great to be an independent learner, but sometimes we all need an extra helping hand. Exams and deadlines can be stressful, and so the school and the university has a whole range of services designed to support you around assessment and feedback. Whether this be on the academic side of things or wellbeing support. Here are some resources that can help you to find the support you need:
Contact our Student Wellbeing Team if you need to support. You could also contact the Support Service or speak to a member of the team at a Wellbeing Chat to discuss the support offered by our University.
For information on academic support see the Study Resources page here on AOB.
For an overview of the support services the University offers, see the Academic Support Map which provides information on a wider range of support services, not necessarily just Assessment and Feedback related.
If you have an issue or a query but you don’t know which service to use or who to speak to first, we now have our very own Student Advisors, Daria and Dominic. They are embedded in the Business School as a first point of contact for SBS students who need some extra support and can point you in the right direction. Just send them an email on SBSstudentadvisor@soton.ac.uk
