Peer advisors are a group of MSc students who have just reached the end of their Business School MSc programmes.âŻYou will meet them at induction and over the course of semester 1 they willâŻhelp you make friendsâŻwith other like-minded students byâŻarranging socials, trips and activities for you outside of lectures. Peer advisors offer different opinions and perspectives to our other peer support groups, so if you really want as much information as possible donât hesitate to contact as many peer support members as you like.Â
How can they help?
They are dedicated toâŻhelping you find your feetâŻin your first few weeks of study. They will beâŻsupporting your Personal Academic TutorsâŻin helping youâŻget to know campusâŻand what it is like toâŻstudy at Southampton. They can helpâŻanswer questionsâŻthat you may not want to ask an academic, such as âwhere can I find a good restaurant?â or âhow can I set up a bank account?â (and many more). They are here to help youâŻfind information faster!âŻÂ
They have recently made the change from undergraduate study to studying at masterâs level, which is what you will all face in September. You will be able to contact them in person or online through university email and on Facebook.Â
You can find the peer leaders on Facebook and Instagram!
