At the University of Southampton there are a variety of support options available to all students and the Business School is proud to offer a Peer Support scheme exclusive to SBS students. The links below provide more information.
Peer Learning – Peer Leaders are trained second and final year business students who facilitate fun, active learning sessions to help first years to adapt to studying at University. Our Peer Leaders vary in terms of degree qualification, society involvement and placement knowledge. Contact sbsedo@soton.ac.uk if you would like to be put in touch with a Peer Leader for your programme before you arrive.
Peer Advisors – Advisors are Postgraduate MSc students who have just finished their dissertations. They are dedicated to helping you find your feet in your first few weeks of study. They will be supporting your Personal Academic Tutors in helping you get to know campus, who the key contacts are and what it is like to study at Southampton. They will do their best to answer questions that you may not want to ask staff.
Course Reps – The Students’ Union works with the University to facilitate the Student Representation (rep) system. Southampton Business School have a representative for every course and year group, it is their duty to listen and to relay any concerns and issues to staff and represent you to the University.
